Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Launched in India;
Maruti Suzuki today launched the much awaited Vitara Brezza sub-compact SUV in India at introductory prices starting from 6.99 lakh to 9.68 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Marking the carmaker's entry into fast growing compact SUV segment the new Vitara Brezza is the first sub-4 metre SUV from Maruti in India. Price for the base variant could be around Rs. 6.75 lakh, and could go up to Rs. 10 lakh for the top-end variant. First unveiled at the Auto Expo 2016 last month, the Vitara Brezza and has been developed in-house by Maruti. It features a localisation level 98 per cent and will also be completely manufactured in India. Based on Suzuki's Global C platform, its design is inspired by its larger sibling - the new generation Suzuki Vitara. Measuring 3995mm in length, 1790mm in width and 1640mm in height, the SUV offers decent ground clearance of 198mm with a wheelbase of 2500mm.

Maruti Suzuki will, initially, bring in only diesel model of the vehicle featured by a 1.3-litre DDiS 200 engine. This powertrain is borrowed from the Ciaz sedan and develops 89bhp of power and 200Nm of torque. Transmitting power to the front wheels of the Brezza is a 5-speed manual gearbox. The company plans to bring-in a 1.5-litre M-series petrol engined model as well in India at a later stage.

To be offered in three trim levels – LDi, VDi and ZDi, there will be a total of 6 variants of the Brezza. Standard features on offer will be audio system with Bluetooth, 15-inch steel wheels, manual air-conditioner, tilt-adjustable steering wheel, parcel tray, driver airbag, speed sensitive door locks, twin pod headlamps with turn indicators, etc.
The top-end variant of the Maruti Vitara Brezza, ZDi+, will be offered with with automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, SmartPlay Infotainment system with CarPlay, cooled glovebox, engine start-stop button, reverse parking camera, cruise control, keyless entry, navigation with MapCare app, dual-tone dashboard and few others.
