While previously there have been several mix-ups about celebrities being detained at airports abroad, another popular actor falling prey to this is none other than Akshay Kumar. Akshay, it seems, was recently detained at the London Heathrow airport according to some media reports.

The reports suggest that Akshay Kumar, who was travelling to England owing to work commitments, was detained at the airport due to an invalid visa. Apparently, officials claimed that the actor wasn't carrying the appropriate visa because of which he was held from 7 am to 8.45 am at the general area. Considering his stardom, the actor, however soon started gaining attention from onlookers who started clicking pictures with him and so on. Akshay Kumar, who wasn't very happy about the same, reportedly approached the officials to take him to a private holding area but his request was turned down as they maintained that they had no such area.

Akshay Kumar has taken off to England for a 15 day shoot schedule for the period thriller Rustom, which also stars Ileana D'Cruz and Esha Gupta.
