Use peppermint oil to repel spiders
Most of us hate spiders. Despite this eight-legged creature being a household pest, almost all spiders are venomous. But most of them are very small and have very weak venom to harm humans. In India, we have venomous species such as wind scorpions or sun spiders. Spider bites can cause large wounds that could lead to serious infection and pain. If you have spider problem at your home, an easy household hack is to use peppermint oil.
Spiders are generally known to dislike strong scents. They avoid crawling through anything with the strong scent. Because spiders smell and taste with their legs. You can also try oils like lemon, cinnamon or tea tree oil, but peppermint is more effective.
Fill a spray bottle with water and add 15-20 drops of peppermint oil. Make sure that the solution smells minty, if not add few more drops of oil.
Locate cracks, gaps and spider webs in your house. In the case of webs, use a broom and remove it.
Spray the solution in the cracks and gaps to make sure the spiders will stay away from entering your home.
Repeat this every 3-5 days and have a spider-free house.
