The Aamir Khan starrer Dangal may have released in the domestic market back in December 2016. However across the border in China the film hit screens quite recently. Though Dangal had such a delayed release in China the film has been raking in the moolah at the box office. In fact despite the Chinese market being rather selective about the films that release Dangal got off to a flying start, fast becoming a major contender to other big ticket releases in the same market.

Now in its second weekend in the Chinese market, Dangal has recorded literally earth shattering figures. Reports state that Dangal that enjoyed a stellar opening week in China managed to rake in a whopping USD 32.60 million [Rs. 208.84 cr] in its second weekend. In fact, while the Friday collections of the film remained in single digits at USD 6.21 million [Rs. 39.80 cr], Saturday and Sunday witnessed a massive spice in collections with USD 13.86 million [Rs. 88.83 cr] and USD 12.53 million [Rs. 80.31 cr] coming in.

With this massive collection over the second weekend, the total box office collections of Dangal within the Chinese market currently stand at USD 59.74 million [Rs. 382.69 cr]. Going by the current rate of collections, Dangal seems set to earn close to Rs. 500 cr within the Chinese market.
