Aamir Khan Productions’ recently released film Secret Superstar has been receiving rave reviews. The emotionally driven film starring Zaira Wasim and Aamir Khan along with Meher Vij, Raj Arjun and Tirth Sharma has been striking chords with the audience earning not just immense love but also critical acclaim.

Set against the backdrop of a small town, the film depicted a rooted story of a young girl named Insiya as she aspires to win hearts with her melodious voice. The film also marks the directorial debut of Advait Chandan, who is the former manager of Aamir Khan. With the kind of fabulous response that the film is receiving, this is what the film’s Shakti Kumar aka Aamir Khan had to say about it.

Secret Superstar is a film essentially based on music wherein the young girl Insiya faces resistance from her father who quashes her dreams of becoming a singer, after which she opts to follow her dreams by posting videos on social media anonymously.

Produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao under the banner name of Aamir Khan Productions, Zee Studios, and Akash Chawla, Secret Superstar is written and directed by Advait Chandan.
