The summer is slowly getting unbearable, and as a parent, the biggest challenge is to keep the kid engaged. The week long the kids have been in their best behaviour with tons of crafts and other activities. And as promised, we head out to the movies in the weekend. I know I will have to do this a lot more this summer to maintain my sanity and provide the kids their promised dose of entertainment!

The year kicked off with a whole lot of charming releases such as A Dog’s Purpose, The Lego Batman Movie, and Beauty And The Beast entertaining our kids to the fullest. 1. Guardians Of The Galaxies

One of the best films of 2014, we really look forward to this sequel. Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket and Groot join forces while in prison and a mysterious orb is a part of their adventure.

2. Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul

Diary of a Wimpy Kid is all set to hit theatres next year, with a brand new star cast. The story revolves around Greg Heffley, who convinces his family to embark on a summer road trip, for his great grandmother’s 90th birthday. However, his actual intention behind the trip is to attend what he thinks is a gamer convention. The diversion takes the family off-track and the plot is about how Greg and his family figure their way back home.

3. Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie

This summer, bring your kid’s favourite book to life! Captain Underpants, a movie based on a novel by the same name, is all set to hit screens in June. The plot revolves around two kids George Beard (Kevin Hart) and Harold Hutchins (Thomas Middleditch), who hypnotise their school principal into thinking he’s a superhero named Captain Underpants. The twist of events that follow forms the crux of the story. The trailer of the film is out and looks inviting enough. So, don’t miss to catch this one!

4. Cars 3

Pixar has mastered the art of making movies which cater to both adults and kids and Cars 3, we are sure, will be one more feather in their cap. The trailer of the movie is out and has garnered some attention already. Undeterred by a mid-race accident, our hero, Lightning McQueen is determined to get back to racing and prove that he is still the best. If your kid is a car-lover, this one is sure to excite him/her!

5. Despicable Me 3

Despicable Me 3 is all set for a grand comeback in 2017. The third installment will have sibling rivalries setting the screen ablaze, as the long-lost twin brothers Gru and Dru finally meet. Steve Carell returns as the voice of Gru, and he is joined by heavyweights Kristen Wiig, Russell Brand and Trey Parker.

6. Sniff

Ater wowing us with classics like Taare Zameen Par and Hawaa Hawaai, Amole Gupte is back to the big screen this summer with Sniff. With 8-year-old Khushmeet Gill playing the lead, Sniff is a one-of-its-kind action film which revolves around a spy in-the-making.
